Oooh apparently I ranted too soon, LL is looking at implementing Nimbus for giving the denizens of SL the fluffy clouds we deserve.

Windlight

ok so LL decides to release this new ‘Windlight’ atmosphere enabled client, supposedly to make all of sl more realistic and lovely etc. I tired the firstlook viewer this morning and I can’t say that I’m that impressed, everything seems a little ‘muggy’, also was it totally neccessary to get rid of the cloud layer? Still I can’t help but think that it looks a little too ‘projection’ like, we need interactive clouds! COME ON LL!

Remodel in progress

Today I got itchy fingers and decided to start on remodelling my neo gothic castle, I’ve never sold a great deal of these, and so have taken a step back to see what could possibly make it more desirable, seeing as floor space has always been at a premium in it, I’ve decided that it really needs a cathedral sticking on the front.The following photo is a work in progress and should not be used to construe any kind of finished design.

And yes that is me at the bottom, huge init!

Secondlife 1.16 is coming, tomorrow ( or today depending on location ), 1.16 heralds the arrival of the ‘sculpties’ or ‘sculpted prims’. I for one welcome our new scultpted over lords, but I can not say it is without some trepidation. things should certainly gain a more organic feel, just wondering how long before I start to see single prim penii(?) roaming the contryside. still I reserve judgement and sit in wait…

Doodle Doo Doo..

Following the recent acquisition of Windward Mark in Boston, Linden Labs is in the process of integrating their speciality into secondlife! that means Sunshine, Clouds and possible WEATHER. I can see it now….

Earlier today low lying parts of the grid were closed off for 3 hours as authorities battled to get flood waters under control.
